It’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog so I thought I would get back on track. Here is an image taken about a week ago with a Canon 5D MK III and 70-200 F2.8 IS II lens inside my SPL waterhousing. It was taken at sunset here in Emerald Isle, NC. Here is a glimpse of Bogue Inlet Pier located right here in Emerald Isle, NC from the lip of a wave breaking. This was taken at sunset last Saturday and I love how the wave frames the pier.

Here is photo I took the other night with my Canon 5D mark III. It was my first time using it & I really like the results so far. This long exposure was taking at night time. I love all aspects of photography honestly. I love doing portraits, weddings, surfing, landscapes & empty wave photos. I feel like doing all of these helps me in each category. My passion though is shooting waves. It’s crazy how each wave is different. For example, this wave photographed here on this particular morning looks nothing like all the others I took the same morning. From the colors to the shape they’re all different. That’s why I love them so much. It never gets boring no matter how many waves you shoot. One thing people don’t realize is I’m taking these photos early morning before the sun comes up and at later in the evening when it goes down. There’s always the potential of running into a shark. It’s just part of the territory. Some mornings when I’m super sketched out I have to talk myself through it. You woke up to get the shot now go get it! That’s what I have to remind myself. But I wouldn’t change it for the world because passion overcomes fear any day.
Here is a photo I grabbed yesterday at the Bogue Inlet Pier here in Emerald Isle, NC. I had a super cold session swimming around. The air was pretty warm but the water is still freezing. Here is a photo I took last night. If you’ve never experienced a sunset from the ocean I really suggest you do so. This time of year there is nobody around and there is no better feeling than being in the right place at the right time with your camera. This was taken in Maui. We got to go visit a buddy of mine for 4 days and Maui was amazing! One of my favorite places I’ve ever visited.
Here are a few more from my recent Hawaii trip. This day I spent the whole day in the Ocean from sun up to sun down. I love days like that. I can’t wait to get back!
