Here are a few photos documenting Hurricane Arthur in Emerald Isle, NC over the weekend. The weather started to get bad late Thursday evening and by early Friday morning most of the weather was gone. I spent the morning and mid afternoon at The Cape Lookout National Seashore. It was a beautiful day! Luckily we experienced minimal damage from Arthur and got to celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks.
Here are a couple of photos from Jenni and Stephen’s wedding last night down at Spinnakers Reach. They had a very sweet beach ceremony followed by a reception at the house they were staying out. You couldn’t have asked for better weather or subjects. Thanks for allowing me to be apart of your special day!
Beach portraits are in full swing now. Here is a photo from one of my sessions last week with Brandon, Renee & Chase. They were an awesome family to work with! We had so much fun during our shoot it didn’t even feel like we were taking photos. I have 2 sessions booked this week and a few more throughout the month. If you would like to schedule a portrait session e-mail me email@example.com
Here is photo I took the other night with my Canon 5D mark III. It was my first time using it & I really like the results so far. This long exposure was taking at night time. I love all the different colors you get from the lights on the water from the pier. Be sure to visit my website to browse more photos like this.
I love all aspects of photography honestly. I love doing portraits, weddings, surfing, landscapes & empty wave photos. I feel like doing all of these helps me in each category. My passion though is shooting waves. It’s crazy how each wave is different. For example, this wave photographed here on this particular morning looks nothing like all the others I took the same morning. From the colors to the shape they’re all different. That’s why I love them so much. It never gets boring no matter how many waves you shoot. One thing people don’t realize is I’m taking these photos early morning before the sun comes up and at later in the evening when it goes down. There’s always the potential of running into a shark. It’s just part of the territory. Some mornings when I’m super sketched out I have to talk myself through it. You woke up to get the shot now go get it! That’s what I have to remind myself. But I wouldn’t change it for the world because passion overcomes fear any day.
Here is a flash photo I grabbed the other night in my backyard. This was actually taken about 15 minutes after the sun went down. I love how you can still pick up some of the best hues from the sky at that time. It really does make for a really unique photo. I went for my first swim back about two evenings ago. It was very cold & windy but we had some nice shore break coming through. I figured I would give it a go. I ended up getting about 5 good photos. This was taken about 10 minutes after the sun had gone down. If you’re interested in purchasing this print or ones similar please visit my website: http://www.grahamhuntphotography.com
