Emerald Isle Photographer
Here is a shot I took this past winter when we have some of the most vibrant sunsets over the ocean. This was taken with a water housing and flash attachment. To preview more of my work visit http://www.grahamhuntphotography.com

Here is a photo from my trash the dress session with Jeni and Stephen the other night. We walked down to the point in Emerald Isle and incorporated this beautiful sunset into the photos. In this photo a wave is actually hitting them to create the splash affect. This is one of my favorites from this session. If you would like to schedule a trash the dress session please contact me.

Emerald Isle Beach Portraits
Beach portraits are in full swing now. Here is a photo from one of my sessions last week with Brandon, Renee & Chase. They were an awesome family to work with! We had so much fun during our shoot it didn’t even feel like we were taking photos. I have 2 sessions booked this week and a few more throughout the month. If you would like to schedule a portrait session e-mail me graham@surferphotos.com
Bogue Inlet Pier
Here is photo I took the other night with my Canon 5D mark III. It was my first time using it & I really like the results so far. This long exposure was taking at night time. I love all the different colors you get from the lights on the water from the pier. Be sure to visit my website to browse more photos like this.
Waves, Waves & Waves
I love all aspects of photography honestly. I love doing portraits, weddings, surfing, landscapes & empty wave photos. I feel like doing all of these helps me in each category. My passion though is shooting waves. It’s crazy how each wave is different. For example, this wave photographed here on this particular morning looks nothing like all the others I took the same morning. From the colors to the shape they’re all different. That’s why I love them so much. It never gets boring no matter how many waves you shoot. One thing people don’t realize is I’m taking these photos early morning before the sun comes up and at later in the evening when it goes down. There’s always the potential of running into a shark. It’s just part of the territory. Some mornings when I’m super sketched out I have to talk myself through it. You woke up to get the shot now go get it! That’s what I have to remind myself. But I wouldn’t change it for the world because passion overcomes fear any day.
Inspired by light
Here is a flash photo I grabbed the other night in my backyard. This was actually taken about 15 minutes after the sun went down. I love how you can still pick up some of the best hues from the sky at that time. It really does make for a really unique photo. You can purchase this print from my website here: http://www.grahamhuntphotography.com
Take it all in while you can
Here is a photo I captured the other night. People don’t realize how difficult it is to get a shot like this. You have to brave 40 degree water, lug around a heavy water housing with a flash attachment on top & be able to position yourself in the right place of the wave to get the shot. It’s really not that easy at all. I love it thought & it’s one of my favorite things to do. No matter how many waves you photograph no two are the same.
